January 18, 2004: Lately we have been doing a lot of water work with the SeaStar. Comparing the landing attitude with the Lake Renegade and the Seawind. It seems that the landing attitude of the SeaStar is within 1/2 of a degree of the Renegade. We used a bubble system to compare the two aircraft during water landings. The correct angle is at 4 degrees nose up. Rotation in the SeaStar is greater then the Seawind. That is accomplished by having more of an angle from the step to the rear of the fuselage.

January 11,2004: We have finished our new long range fuel tanks. Some customers have asked for an increase in fuel capacity to 250 gallons for extra long range. Of course, with this much fuel you cannot take 7 passengers. Here is a photo of the new tanks installed in the wing. All the white areas are fuel tanks. The main tanks stay the same size with 160 gallons total. The aux tanks pump into the mains.
